What kind of ISC motor should i get?

Hi, my ISC motor went out(yup it's clicking) and it's time for a new one. I was wondering should i get the aftermarket($74) or what the car was built with ACDelco($90)? I know these cars don't like anything other than ACDelco.

I also thick i need a EGR valve is stuck because I have high idle speed. I tried to clean out the throttle body (silly me). Will a new ISC motor and EGR valve solve my high idle problems?

Also, will a 92-95 ISC fit my 4.5 . Here is wat i am considering. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CADIL...spagenameZWD1V

get a AC Delco but remember this you need to adjust min air, TPS and idle speed...

    clean throttle body first
1 key on back off isc all the way unplug
    2 set idle speed pd11 at 400-450
    3 adjust tps to 1.3 pd1
    4 adjust isc to .60
5 unplug battery for 20 secs
6 start car let idle for 5 min w/o a/c off
7 turn on a/c for 1 min in drive

Do i enter diagnostics to set min air, tps, idle speed? Or does it have to be manually done? I don't have a factory service manual so can you tell me how to do it>

I was going to let a shop do install it. They should know what they're doing right?

    What about the Egr valve.

Get the origional part because I have an aftermarket one in my 85 FWB and its crap. But before you just throw the part at the car make sure your egr tubes are clean and throttle body is clean as well as injectors, fuel filter, etc.

I really hope they know but most likely not this is a secret known by few and far between to properlly set it up...but you can do it with this procedure....
    yes access computer and here is how;

    then do this
    clean throttle body first
1 key on back off isc all the way unplug
    2 set idle speed pd11 at 400-450
    3 adjust tps to 1.3 pd1
    4 adjust isc to .60
5 unplug battery for 20 secs
6 start car let idle for 5 min w/o a/c off
7 turn on a/c for 1 min in drive

dont worry about EGR right now it will give you a code and entirely different problem, i will tell you how to test the egr solinoid and egr if problem persists but most likely not.....

you adjust it on the thottle body itself. just like a regular carb idle speed screw, you sort of need a special tool j-38457-a....or try to use a t-20..

This set worked for the minimum air and TPS adjustment. Bought at Advance.

Forgive my ignorance; Mr. Goodwrench I'm not. Can you please clarify what buttons to push in diagnostics mode and what parts you actually adjust in the engine bay. I tried to figure out the flow chart (not an engineer, either), and it just made me dizzy.
    1. key on back off isc all the way unplug Is this the ISC motor plunger? Does this mean the plunger should be all the way in or all the way out? Is the ISC motor plunger the same thing as the minimum idle speed screw?
    2. set idle speed pd11 at 400-450 What sequence of buttons to see the engine rpms? Do you change the idle speed through the diagnostics panel or do you turn the screw on the ISC motor plunger until the display reads between 400 and 450 rpms?
    3. adjust tps to 1.3 pd1 Does TPS mean throttle position sensor? What sequence of buttons to see the TPS? How do you adjust the TPS?
    4. adjust isc to .60 ? What sequence of buttons to see the ISC? How do you adjust the ISC?
    5. unplug battery for 20 secs
    6. start car let idle for 5 min w/o a/c off Just to confirm, the climate control should be off, right?
    7. turn on a/c for 1 min in drive Since it's winter, I assume I'll need to drop the temperature setting on the climate control all the way down to get the A/C to kick in, right?
Thanks for your help. I put the new ISC motor in about a month ago, but I think it idles too fast, and I get some intermittent lurching when my foot is off the gas and occasionally when accelerating again after having let off the gas. I'm hoping getting the ISC motor adjusted properly will fix this.

Re: What kind of ISC motor should i get?

push back plunger on isc with key on, it is the bolt sticking out of the ISC..
PD11 is the data from the pcm...so you will need to manuallyadjust the RPM...there is a idle speed screw on the throttle body...
Loosen the screws on the throttle postion sensor...move it to spec...
adjust the ISC bolt to .60 to where it hits on the linkage.....
the rest no worries just drive a/c always kicks on....
