If your spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor are badly worn, the engine isn't going to want to fire right up. And that could cause the hesitation you are talking about. |

my 81 deville does the same thing, i'm not sure what causes it, but i usually don't drive it in the winter. |

They don't require very much fuel pressure as I recall, but I'd check it and see what you have. May be a weak fuel pump. |

It's a vacuum operated butterfly that is closed when the engine is cold and opens via a sensor as the engine warms up. If the sensor or the vacuum motor are faulty, a warm engine will starve for fresh air, causing the bog. They usually only act up in cold weather. |
