I have 83 coupe and it has lost power, gas only comes out of one injector of the two, I switched the wires over and its vice versa. I'm gettin ready to check my E C M but I would like to know what the injector drivers are and thier location, what else could be causing the problem. I get code 52
here is whats going on, in PARK at regular idle, the engine will go really low to where it feels like it is going to stall out,( actually it did stall out when I cam to a stop til I changed my vac hoses) but it will smooth out ... this is an constant up and down ... up and down . while driving I start out slow like the tranny is in low (tranny does shift) sputtering I have to hold accelerator to floor then as it starts to gain speed I gradually ease up off accelerator
DOES THIS FAMILAR TO ANYONE any info will be appreciated |

There are a pair of 3 Amp fuses at the bottom of the fuse panel. Hopefully, that will be the problem. #1 cause of blown injector fuses is a pinched wire at the throttle body. Check to see that your wires have not been damaged previously. |

i will let you know about the wires thanks Quote: |

After changing a gas tank one of my injectors stopped working. I was shopping and ready to buy new ones.
I tapped on the failing injector and it came back to life. This went on for about a week. Every few miles or so I'd have to get out and tap on the injector. Not fun. After the week of doing that it got worse, harder to get back to life then all of a sudden with a few taps it was perfect and hasn't failed since.
Something very small may be stuck in the injector. Just my 2 cents |

top of the injectors very carefully before
spending any money...
if i remember correctly, those connectors
are a service part and can be replaced... |

Next logical step would be to get a schematic and check the injector terminals right at the unplugged ECM to see if you get the same resistance reading as at an injector. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
