    1984 eldorado biarritz

    I have a 1984 eldorado biarritz that has the "stop enine oil pressure" light blinking and "service soon" then "service now" light on it idles high sometimes then will die I drove it to my after I bought it and it'll shut off when I slow down or stop. It also reads codes 19 20 24 26 27 52 53 what do these codes meann and how do I fix the problem with it shutting off and idling the way it is

    There's information on the codes in other threads posted. Sometimes the oil light blinking can be a faulty oil pressure sending unit, (located at the oil filter adapter), the first easy check to do, or thinned out engine oil, or worn out engine bearings.

    I fond out that it was a wrong sensor that was rigged up so I replaced the sensor and hooked it up right now car runs awesome but codes are still coming up and the blinking lights (oil pressure ,service now) just stay on I tried resetting but they are still on
