    power steering pump bracket

    last year, my power steering bracket broke. it's aluminum and where the bolts mounted near the alternator broke. i thought it was weird at the time, but then I just saw another post on folks about removing my fuel rail, and I see in this pick there appears to be a bracket on the front of the PS bracket:

    I can see where 2 bolts mount it on the PS bracket, but where the does the rest of that front bracket bolt onto? Anyone have pics? I'll have to scrounge salvage yards to find one

    It mounts to the exhaust manifold studs, I believe.

    On my 85 4.1 that plate has two bolts, one goes into the AIR/smog pump bracket, and the other is a bolt for the exhaust manifold.
