    Code 52.

I just installed the new alternator and I am not getting a sporadic code 52. No engine dying or electrical issues to report. What would throw this code? Distributor?

52 just means the battery was disconnected at some point. No big deal, just clear it.

Now a random 12 code was thrown. Not sure if that was from my running it on e temporarily as I had to go to work and get gas running in fumes. Or if the alternator frying messed of the distributor.

E12 is no distributor signal -- sounds like ignition module, maybe bad ground, dunno

Yea I saw that code deal. I am gonna undo all the grounds tomorrow and see how she runs. I think it may be just that since I havent had any failures or running signals of issues during driving like stumbles etc. Only issue will be finding all the damn grounds.

    Re: Code 52.

Based on a quick search, a dying alternator can produce E12. So maybe clear the codes and see if it comes back before worrying too much.

Clean grounds are always good regardless though.
