I am about to close a deal on a 1985 Fleetwood Brougham with a 4.1 L digital engine under the hood...I am hearing a lot of good stuff but mostly negative things about this engine...The vehicle has 76K on it and runs good....Anyone got any comments either bad or good to asy...I need to know what to do Buy or not to Buy...?

Re: 4.1 L digital engine
The HT4100 was not one of Cadillacs most shining moments. It is terribly underpowered and has a tendency to blow head gaskets. The good part is that they can be replaced without removing the engine. I'd move up a few years and look for something with a 4.9. Nice power and they run forever.
