92 Cadillac Eldo AC Leak near the fire wall

My 1992 Cadillac Eldorado blows warm air when the AC is on. I converted the system from R12 to R134a and in the process I notice a leak on a medal line going into the fire wall. Has anyone else come across this problem? I can't see how to remove the line.

I was also wondering if anyone knows where I could get a repair manual?

Thank you for the help. I am interested in the service manual. The service engine soon light just came on and I need to find the codes. This service manual includes my 1992 Cadi Edorado yea. Where do I get the repair kit and what is it called? I ask because I have gone to the parts store and talked to them about my leak and the say there is nothing I can do about it.

If it's that simple. There's no way to tell until you pull the core through the firewall.

I figured out the problem with the AC leak the Evaporator Core was bad. I spoke with the Cadillac wreckers and they said 1992 Eldos have problems with the line going to the Evaporator Core.

I am serious. I will be in Orlando Florida June 28-30. If that is not close to your location just let me know where I can find your listing. I have a current code of E048 and I need the manual to fix it. So I am motivated to get a repair manual.

    Thank you

I checked one of the lists, and I didn't find E048 specifically, I don't remember the GM letters as far as what an 'E" is. But an A048 is low refrigerant pressure.
my mail is revans7583@gmail.com, it might be easier than this. I can't find anything here anymore, it was much easier before the site was overrun with ads.

E48 is the EGR system fault code. If the 48 is preceeded by a single 'e.' that is a history or intermittant code. If preceeded by a '.e.e.' it is a 'hard' code. A hard-code will turn on the telltale light every time, where an intermmitant code will also illuminate the telltale, but when the ECM runs another test and not detect the fault, the light will stay Off.

An EGR problem usually makes your car idle rough. And it stumbles on acceleration.

If I had your contact info I'd get back to you. But all I can get from your profile is the option to send you a PM. That obviously isn't working and I've listed a few ways, PM's here, my registered e-mail here, and my general use e-mail. I don't know what else to do for you. I'm offering 2 manuals, a Chilton for easy things and a Factory manual for more in-depth repairs, and seperately the parts you need to replace your Evap. core.
Apparently, no one here needs a $100+ manual for less than half, or a new, $200+ Delco Core & Accum\Drier for about 1/4 cost. I guess today's Caddy drivers have money to burn.
