    engine pinging off the line?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a 95 sedan deville with 119K miles. I bought from a retired vet. Car is impecable!!! I did my normal scheduled changes for my records oil, oil filter, pcv, air filter, fuel filter, seafoamed the motor. beforeing doing all this I heard the motoring pining off the start? I added premium gas and still heard the pinging? I added techtron additive to clean the injectors to a full tank of gas and still have the pinging?
has anyone encountered this issue? if so what was the remedy? if any.

    any and all comments appreciated..

    Joel

Re: engine pinging off the line?

It is most likely spark knock caused with faulty EGR system. First make sure two EGR tubes inside of the throttle body (under the blades) are clean, if they are not, use a piece of a coat hanger to rod the carbon out. Make sure all the vacuum tubes coming out of throttle body are intact.
