Any good 4.x mechanics in the Detroit area?
I was wondering if there were any good mechanics in the Detroit area who'd consider changing the cam/lifters on my 85 Coupe Deville FWD with the 4.1L engine (36,000 miles and no rust). If so, please let me know. I'm a college student, so I don't have tons of money, but I can certainly compensate you reasonably for the job (say $45-50/hr for labor. I'm estimating that it'd be about a 10 hr job). I thought I'd post here, since I'd really like someone who's familiar with this engine to work on it.
If you're interested, please let me know. E-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org
I'd love to see this car in tip-top shape, but I just can't afford to have this repair done at a major repair shop.
If needed, I'll even help with the repair (I do a lot of my own repairs, but this job is just way over my head).
