So my friend and I have an '84 Eldorado in very good condition. He recieved the car for free however because the engine is seized. We're not sure how it seized or why it seized all we know is that the engine will not turn no matter what. So we have decided to do a swap. I do have an '87 FWD Fleetwood with the 4.1L. Now I know that the 87 engine is mounted transversly but otherwise its very similar. So I was wondering how hard it would be to sway out the eldo motor for the fleetwood motor. We would like to do this because the 87 is a great running motor!

Re: Engine Swap
Bellhousing, intake manifold and a bunch of other stuff is quite different. Waaaay too much work.
