    4.5L TBI whistling

After I let off of the accelerator completely from a full-throttle jump, I hear a very faint, half-second long whistling sound. This just appeared a few hours ago. The oil is clean, coolant is clean, and the engine has 156,000 miles on it. What do you think it could be?

Do you have an aftermarket air cleaner? Sounds like its related to a VERY high vacuum situation...probably a leak somewhere.

I just replaced the filter with an A/C Delco one last week. There are two wing screws missing from the air cleaner housing, but that has never made a difference before.

The whistle turned into a cough. This only happens after full throttle.
