    Alternator issues

Hey there, I just had a couple questions on the alternator for an 85 Brougham. I was wondering if one from an 84 Eldo would mount up ok? Otherwise what other alternator could I make work with this engine? Problem is that no one here stocks it and if they do it's not cheap($300+) The alternator in the car I was looking at was stolen(guess I know why now) and I need a replacement.
    Thanks in advance.

$300 for an alternator? Maybe a new 100 amp from a dealer, but otherwise somebody is trying to jack you.

I wouldn't try to adapt one from another car. Check rockauto.com. They have AC/Delco remans for your Brougham for $97-$150.

The 84 should fit into the 85 no problem.
