    Thumbs down Engine etc.

I have an 83' Coupe DeVille with a HT4100. A while back I had pressure washed the engine, and a couple days later the engine "froze" on me. It didnt really jerk or anything, in fact I didn't even notice the engine had shut off until I turned down the radio. Anyways one of my friends seems to think it could be something with the computer. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas, also I was wondering what is a good price for a new/rebuilt HT4100 and also if anyone has a good website where I could find a new headliner. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Re: Engine etc.

when you say froze, does that mean that the engine will not crank at all?if it does crank, you should check the fueling system (wires, fuses, pump etc...) for any problems there. can you do an on-board-diagnostic check on an 84'? if so, that may be able to help as well. if you can figure out how to do th O.B.D. test on the Caddy, post the codes, i should be able to help you there.(just a hint, press the off and warmer buttons on the climate controll panel while the ignition is in the "on"position, if you can do so on an 84'. after that, there should be some numbers on the climate controll screen that you can read...write then down and like i said before, post them and we can get you one step closer to rolling again.)
