    Re: Report spammers here

Just nailed another one - ubhkaust - in the Lounge, 5 minutes after it logged on and posted the same so-called "review" gibberish and malware links.

NEVER click on anything that remotely resembles "Watch the XXX XXXXX online" or anything even close - they're all malware downloads.

This garyscts guy. He doesn't really fit the bill as the typical poster, nor the typical spammer. He's got one thread that's all been negative about his story about his self propelled Cadillac. Don't know if that's true, but maybe someone to keep an eye on. Looks like he just joined to rant about this story.

...probably just bored at work and sick of looking out at the lot full of MKZ's so he posted while waiting for the next "up" to pull in!

    Re: Report spammers here

Looks like another disgruntled Cadillac owner who can't get any help from the corporation. I'll link the thread to CCC and see where that leads to ............ Thanks for the homework.

But I reported it at 5:16 and only 5 minutes passed in my universe until your post. I fear I've become unstuck in time like poor Billy Pilgrim. ;)

    Re: Report spammers here

There ARE several timezones in the U.S. - 0516 your time is 0816 my time.

What time is noted up in this post header - 0901 or 0601 ???

Your post is shown as 0855 - and the spammer is 9 hours ahead of me, 12 ahead of you.

I knew it was a time zone thing because your post is marked 5:21 for me which is the only way I would have known 5 minutes had passed. It just struck me as funny, but then again most things do.

So the site time conversions for your computer location have everyone - worldwide - shown as posting in your particular zone. Someone in CA saw your post as 0416.

Yep. Technically the time zone you specify in your profile.

So someone in Shanghai already saw it tomorrow! But all that's more boring than being unstuck in time.

I would have to agree with you. I have a 2006 CTS with an obd2 to iPhone cable. Whenever I run the app, I can see a lot of sensors. Including 3 or 4 throttle position inputs. Labeled A, B, C and D. Though I can't remember if they all are at the same % input. I'll check tonight.

So in my eyes, there are redundant systems.

Though I do recall a late model Pontiac Grand Prix having a recall on the drive by wire throttle pedal. It had something to do with the springs breaking in sub-zero weather. Thus the pedal wouldn't return to home position.
