    Cadillac vs ???

Should we have a forum dedicated to discussions in regards to Cadillac competition? A place where comparisons can be done and we can talk about where Cadillac excels and lags? I think it might be a good way for people to come by and quickly find out either why (or why not) to become a Cadillac owner...

Thanks. Let's get some more thoughts and opinions. I'd like to go ahead and make it happen but more people have to want it than not want it. We'll give it a day or two unless it's a resounding YES.

It's a good idea Sal. I know people have sort of done this in the Lounge at times.

    Re: Cadillac vs ???

Okay, so let's talk about formats.. How should we go along and work this out? A subforum of a main forum? Just at first to see how it goes? If so, which forum should it go under?

What should the layout be like? Seperate sections for each auto maker:

    Cadillac verses...

    Cadillac vs. Mercedes subforum
    - DeVille vs S Class
    Cadillac vs BMW subforum
    - STS vs 7 Series
    - CTS vs 5 Series
    Cadillac vs Lexus subforum
    - STS vs LS
    - CTS vs GS

How would you set it up?

    Re: Cadillac vs ???

I would just make it a general forum, "Cadillac VS." That's it. Thatway any car or company can be discussed without having to drop it in a designated subforum.

I agree, just title it Cadillac v.s. ... and let the forum grow.

    Re: Cadillac vs ???

me too.. if nobody starts comparing cadillac to "xxx" its gonna look like a bunch of dead forums. Cadillac vs. ... maybe a subforum of 'kill stories & race videos'

That seems a little redundant now, they're the ones usally doing comparison

"department or redundncy department" <-- would be a cool t-shirt
*scratching head, i dont get it*

Good idea - I also agree with Cadillac VS or could be Cadiallc vs Import and Cadillac vs Domestic - either way it is not a fair fight

    Re: Cadillac vs ???

What we could do is create a larger forum, and have all the subforums be the different car companies we want to compare them against.

    Re: Cadillac vs ???

Probably outta keep er simple for folks coming in to get an idea or two , one area no subs as many cadillacs fit into diffrent segments (ie sigma cars), but then one area would be flooded so divide it up in like CTS vs .... and DeVille vs .......

At the top make a sticky containing threads on "what to look for " regarding trouble spots in cadillacs as we get many in here looking at 1-2 year old cars

Cadillac Comparo or Cadillac Reaserch Area (Buyers Guide)

    Re: Cadillac vs ???

Cadilac vs. is fine. no subforums. or like stoney said cadillac buyers guide, comparo, etc. we could move our "consumer reports" stickies there as well

I like that idea ....many of use are looking at older models as well ...10 - 12 year old cars - trouble spots is a great idea ...
