If that was back on 2/6/10, it was Doubletree in Oak Brook. Bidding got it for $38 plus $12 tax, 3.5 star rating.

    Oak Brook - Downer's Grove
    1909 Spring Road
    Oak Brook, Illinois 60523

It was right at the junction of 290, 294, and 88. Really easy access to the city.

As long as I can make it to Suzette's Creperie in Wheaton on Sunday morning, I really don't care where the hotel is.......OMG that was so good.... I'm going to hold the place up just so I can steal all of their pretzel rolls....

EDIT...well scratch that...they don't open until 11AM on Sunday....will have to go for lunch on Friday when I get to town....

Orbitz, Hotels, and Expedia are booking sites. Priceline will also do this as well. This is just like calling the hotel or booking it on the hotel website. This is NOT what Jesda did.

What Jesda DID DO on Priceline is what Priceline started out as -- a BIDDING site. You put down the area, the dates, the class of hotel, and the price you're willing to pay. If Priceline has a hotel that will accept the offer, you are billed in advance, and non-refundable, and only then are you told what hotel you "won". Since the rooms are so cheap, the hotels don't give you points.

Believe me, you won't get to the jacuzzi/hot tub. We tour all day and party all nite. Sleep is overrated. And when all else closes, BYOB to GDWriter's room and we'll still be partying.

Mixing up a fresh batch of Sorbettos. I celebrate New Years for a week!

The last party will be this weekend with the Midwest XLR Group. And me without mine. Guess I'll just have to BLOW them away with the Eldo.
