OK, so now we've decided on Early June. What do you all wanna do??

Aside from the Mall of America, there's a drag strip out in Rock Falls Wisconsin, which is having a test n' tune day on the 12th and 13th! We could run that! It's out near Eau Claire, which is about 90 minutes east of Minneapolis, so not too long of a drive at all.

Ellingson Car Museum, out in Rogers, 45 minutes Northwest.

Porky's on Saturday night:

North St Paul's weekly pre 1976 car show on Friday nights:

What do you guys wanna do for food? Any specific place?

Its your town. You think of someplace awesome to eat. We're fully expecting to be entertained.

No one has topped Nick's Iowa meet yet.

Thanks Jesda!

I honestly didnt know about this until last week when Chad texted me. I really need to pay attention and get on here more! Im not going to be able to make it but I will definately be watching for more meets! I really want to go to one soon when everything pans out right for me. Responsibilities suck! lol. Also, my car is getting some minor damage repaired this week and in next couple of weeks.

Have fun though guys and eat lots of food and get hella drunk! If anyone is going through Des Moines and want to meet up for some chow or a drink or anything, let me know!

You don't want to go to MPLS?

Oh that's right, JD was the only one that wanted to go to MOA.

There's a great Jewish deli near me, if you guys want some of that.

Trying to decide if I can swing an 11 hour drive...hmmmm....

Gary, you driving? If so, you bringing Hoov? I'm not sure how Beretta would do on that long of a trip............

No, I'm going to fly. I burned three vacation days for JD's wake and funeral, and I'm driving Cruella to North Dakota around the 4th of July to give her to my niece. I don't have enough vacation days left to make a round trip to Minneapolis. Wish I could since Hoover and I had a great time on last year's trip.

Hoover is an amazing road tripper. I'd usually take a break every 2-3 hours to stretch my legs and Hoover's. I never had any trouble getting him back into the car, and he's so well behaved at motels. We've taken a lot of road trips over the past five years, so he knows the routine pretty well.

I suppose, if nothing else, we could do TWO meets. One in the beginning of June and one in August or so. I mean if you really want to...

Here is Fogo's website. I know I have done large groups there and it does work very well and the food is great. I mean it is all various cuts of meat....and a salad. Price is reasonable for a nice meal out. If you make reservations very early Bar La Grassa is probably the best pasta in town and is very affordable! Only issue is it can be tough to get a table in Friday's and Saturday's.

Do you want swanky or affordable?

Swanky look up the Grand Hotel in St. Paul, Graves 601 in Minneapolis, or the "W" also in Minneapolis. All are online. The "W" is in the historic Foshay tower downtown. Otherwise there are the Marriot, Marquette, Hyatt, and Ramada downtown are all very nice and good access to the whole twin cities area. I have stayed at the Graves and Ramada for business even though I am in town and would recommend either. The "W" has nice bars with the Living Room and Prohibition. Hope that helps......

I am sure I~luv~caddies will have more idea.

Typically, Jesda Pricelines something at some point in advance...

55123 is the zip code for the city I live in. We're 15 minutes southeast of Minneapolis. If you'd like to use that as a basis for hotels, it would be a good idea.

Yeah, lets stay away from downtown. I was at the Crown Plaza in Egan last year and that was pretty nice as I recall. I was there the year before as well, but can't remember the name of the place. It was really nice as well and about in the same vicinity. Both where $55 - $85 a night as I recall.

You were in Eagan and you didn't notify me? Either of the downtowns are MUCH smaller and easier to navigate than Chicago.
