I'd love to see both run the 1/4. Especially the 09V to see how well they solved the axle-hop.

I live in Plainfield which is close to Rt. 66 and depending on what else I have going on I could make it down there to meet up. Usually spend all my time with the camaro but pimping out the V would be fun too.

tbjs, just caught wind of this... as long as I'm back in the States by then, I'll go if you go, lol... well i'll probably go anyways, but maybe that'd entice you to swing out to the Windy City, I'd say Route 66 Raceway is the place to be, it's always a good time... i can't believe Jimmy left me off this one after all the V meets I organized last year in DG.... just kiddin Jimmy, hope all is well can't wait to get back! |

Rangerrob! what up baby? Actually, I never did get to meet up with you guys last year. Funny, I was thinking about bumping that thread to see if any of the Chicago V guys wanted to meet up again. I get off of work at 2pm now everyday, so I will have no problems this summer.
bigjim, the dates are in the thread title. Although no one has confirmed to me that these are the "official" dates. I know there is plenty of time, but I want to start talking to Volo and Great Lakes.
And try as I might, I have no autox solution. As I said before, there is really nothing viable anywhere near the Chicagoland area. We are stuck with straight line racing. Of course, except for the V guys, I think that is preferable to everyone. |

FYI, there is no way I can give a CTS-V a run for the money. It does a better job at winning trophies than burning rubber. @ nearly 5,000 lbs, I am happy with the 14.0 1/4 mile on street tires.

It will give me a run. With a street start and granny shifting, a stock V is around 14 flat. Hole shots and power shifting is just asking for diff problems. |

Yeah, last year Jimmy only ran a low 14 second quarter mile while the regular CTSs were doing it in high 14's. That really surprised me. |

You take it easy on the diff, when it's your only way to make it the 300 miles home...
And it doesnt help when you have to drive through the burnout puddle whether or not you want to do a burnout...
