This looks like it's shaping up to be a good time. Let's just stay away from the Robert Taylor Homes, Cabrini-Green (what's left of them), and the seedy pockets around the University of Chicago. With out-of-state tags, we'd be sitting ducks begging to be stuck with a sharp object. (Ironic for me to be paranoid, especially given my car's value wouldn't even cover the cost of factory wheels on a CTS.)

Now the noveau riche & cave-dweller North Shore 'burbs, that's another story...

I'd just hope my Cadillac holds it together for the trip from Indianapolis and back! However, before I commit, I must get a few all-clears.

I think we're pretty much staying in the west and northwest 'burbs for the meet. There are a number of members who don't want to go anywhere near downtown Chicago because of the traffic and parking hassles.

I guess I'd prefer to stay in the suburbs. No drag strip downtown after all..... It doesn't matter too much to me, but the way I look at it, we only get a weekend, I guess I'd rather be at a restaurant / event instead of sitting in traffic or trying to find a place to park.
