Please post in this thread once you have booked your hotel and confirmed your attendance. Also, please post how many people you will have with you, where you are staying, and which events you will participate in. I will set up the golf later on if we have enough interest.

Even if you dont drink or like bars, you will still have a blast. A lot of people didnt drink last year and they still had a lot of fun! This is the second large meet I have planned, you wont be disapointed!

Thanks,
Nick

Quit peelin out and your tires wouldnt be bald! HAHA!

on your car it doesn't make a difference because of the torque curve. On a Northstar the curve is in the 4-5k rpm range. So by me holding it in second to that point she gets up alot quicker and the same goes coming out of second going into third and so on.

i can do the bowling game.

i'm bored, 90 minutes of work left, must get out of cube farm, this time tomorrow i will be crossin the mississippi.

In 24 hours I'll be cruising through Iowa, comfortable and compliant, in the backseat of a 1994 Fleetwood Brougham. Can't wait to get out of work........!!!!!! So much excitement!!!!

Can we get a final run down of the meet's planned activities??? Pretty please..

everything is in the first post Chad.

I hear ya bro, I'm here until 9.

So nothing has changed in the itnerary? I'll have to tell Brian to put the pedal to the metal to get to the hotel by 4:30 for dinner...we're leaving the twin cities at 11.

i'm outta here boys, do some last minute stuff to the caddy tonight, get a good nights sleep, then watch out tomorrow.

my parting shot will be my usual throwdown, us WI boys can :alchi: so you kids better be ready. nicky can attest to our consumption rate. last year we tore it up till bar time then ended up at some house party downtown above a bar and partied til 4am with a bunch of people we never even met before. not bragging, i just think it's something genetic, or maybe there's alcohol in our drinking water so we build up a tolerance. :sneaky:

I say we have a beer drinking competition!! I can dominate booze. I am mostly german and irish so yeah.....

#141 ·
lol, i got a cpap too, i'm gonna bring cause i sleep so good with it, plus bret snores like a chainsaw so i'll need to fall asleep fast.

#140 ·
Well folks, I got it all mapquested out. We won't take I-35 through Iowa because it's a snoozefest, so we'll take 52 south, and connect with US-63, then I-380, then I-80, then I-74...then we're there. It's more fun, and it's 25 less miles. We should be there between 4:30 and 5:30, depending on what we do for lunch. We'll try to make it to the 4:30 dinner.

#142 ·
cool, be good to see you mn guys there.

Well, today one of my cats decided to start failing again so my shit is rattling just like last year. I also lost my right sidemarker today. Thats pretty much par for the course I guess. Shit always gets messed up right before a meet.

Oh well. HAHA!

#144 ·
For the races, what do you guys have that's comparable with the LT-1 Brougham in terms of 1/4 mile acceleration?

#147 ·
Well, not so great news. I STILL do not have my caddy back. I was hoping to spend the last 2 days doing work on her before the meet, but obviously its too late for that now. She has not been washed since last October and currently has no headliner/trim around the roof. That, of course, is if I get her back sometime tomorrow.

On the other hand, I have managed to procure a car for the weekend if needbe. If my car ain't back, I will be driving my dad's '94 Club Wagon Chateau (basically a smoother riding E-150). Its got 190,000 miles, gets 16 mpg highway, is starting to rust to pieces and has the acceleration of an aircraft carrier. Even with all this, you can count on me attempting to drag the sumbitch. Let the good times roll.

#148 ·
Hahaha, is that the 302 or 351?

#149 ·
351 Windsor in its pride and glory. For its age, mileage and history (pulled a 7000 lb trailer for the first 120,000 miles of its life) its surprisingly quick. It tries way to hard though.

#150 ·
Welp, I have been trying to find a set of sidemarkers locally to no avail.

I found two sets. One is in Rockford and the other is at Cadillac of Naperville. If someone might be able to pick these up for me and bring them to Davenport please let me know ASAP. Call me. 515-202-4737

Thanks guys! I would pay cash to you for the markers in davenport.

#151 ·
Well one of Brian's coworkers called in sick today, so he's gotta work until noon, so we'll be an hour late. Don't expect us at the dinner, but we'll try like hell to get to the hotel before we depart for the races at 6:00.

#152 ·
SOunds good Chad. I just looked and it turns out that midnight madness goes from 11pm until 4am tonight! HAHA!

We could stay at the track until 4am if we want. :histeric:

#153 ·
Looks like we are golden fellas!! Weather is clearing now. Should be rain free until sunday. Will probably be dreary and cool but that is fine by me! Low pressure in the area also which will affect 1/4 mile times but who cares as long as we dont get any rain!! WOOHOO!!!
