Does anyone know if there are any good campgounds near there? I would love to go, but being 18 I don't have the money for a hotel, and I refuse to sleep in my car. I would rather just bring a tent if possible. |

Okay, I'm in and I've found my campsite. Its in the town of Hampton IL, which is right across the river from that casino where the rest of you are staying. http://www.co.rock-island.il.us/FP.aspx?id=146#Fees
Its a county park, so its only $11 a night. I can pack up, have my morning shower and then meet you guys for breakfast. I have to see if my friend with the '87 IROC 350 wants to come and (at least try to) give you V drivers a run for your money. Just to be clear, we are going to the track both Friday night and Saturday afternoon? This is my first meet, so I have no idea what to expect. |

The kind of tent I am bringing you dont want any part of. As far as I know, I think I am the only V owner coming. And an IROC might take me, since I have no plans of doing a hole-shot. I would like to keep my differential for the ride home  |

If im planning it, trust me it will be a good meet. The actual meet will be at the track on Saturday. So yes, we are going to the track on Friday and Saturday. I got the final word from the track people today but I have been too lazy today to finish up the details and set it in stone.
Jimmy- brent is coming also. (Luv) If he doesnt, I will have to take a detour to Chicago to punch him in the head. LOL!!!!  |
