Well, I had planned on installing both the Hoen Fogs and High beams, but that was before I believed that the bumper had to be removed to get to the high beam bulbs. I really thought I could do it without... but... as crafty as I am, I stand corrected.

The fogs look good, though.

The first pic is one OEM fog and one Hoen fog. The next two horrible cell phone pics are just to get an idea of the color comparison at night. The last pic is just citys and fogs.

I installed a single cutout , had the X piped pushed back closer to the headers and the cutout dumps right out just after the x-pipe on the passager side.

Its a tight fit and sits about a inch lower then then the long tubes. if lowerd it might be an issue but I think its not bad. Its sitting on the passanger side.

I know some guys are going to flame on me my since I only installed one. But on a N/a motor you wont gain any more power with 2 cutouts. As long as its after the X-pipe it will flow both manifolds . Exhaust will flow the path of least resistnace and our cadi also has daul 2.5 pipes as well.

Heres a vid and I did a flyby, but I went to fast in the flyby to realy hear the exhaust lol

I purchased a tint kit from r-vinyl and ended up just going with nightshades. If any one is interested in it. You pay for the shipping and it is yours. I would put this in classifieds but I can't. Just an FYI. I did get pulled over last night for my tinted tails. And any covering over your lights in MN is illegal. That INCLUDES clear coat protective coverings that I have over my headlights. I mean this must have been one bored cop!

Oh this is the kit for the CTS not the V. I don't know why there was a difference but it has covers for the fogs and headlights but not light cleaners. Weird I know. If you don't want to tint the fogs just cut those pieces down to fit the little rhomboids.

I've been running Michelin Pilot Sports. 18,000 miles. Needed new tires and I began researching here and with those in the tire business for the past 2 months.

Everyone has their opinion. I really wanted handling performance; smoothness and somewhat better mileage or cheaper tires that last the same as the Pilot Sports. I have no complaints about the Sports.

Narrowed down to Hankook; Nitto Invo and Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus. The guys at discount kept assuring me to give the Pilot A/S Plus a try before the others and if I wasn't happy they would exchange, etc.

First day with Pilot Sport A/S Plus and my initial reaction is that I am really happy with the performance and feel like I didn't sacrifice anything by going with A/S tire.

Jury still out. Need to put some more miles on them and see how they perform. So far the V feels great.

Mods since I bought it:
*Baked the fog/drl housing, removed the amber, replaced with 1/4" lexan
*Silverstar bulbs for high beam, fog, and DRL/turn
*SMD Tower 5-LED parking light bulbs
*Clear corners, working on the 5-LED bulbs to fit them
*Swapped out the crappy tan center for a standard CTS black console for bigger armrest
*Installed a Cags skip-shift eliminator so I can drive how I want (no more 1>4)
*Ordered an 09 seude shifter, UUC short shifter, and new black floormats
*Most of the stereo is here, so I'll start on it once the pillars are done
*A, B, and C pillars are gonna be wrapped with black seude
*Headliner will be done in black seude sometime soon
*When I can park it for a day, I'm gonna have the tails, 3rd brake light, and reverse lights smoked
Trying to find a B&B or Corsa exhaust that's not overpriced

recently made switch to clear fogs and installed 55W 6K DDM HID. I noticed while driving they are not level with each other (no surprise). What is a good rule of thumb in aiming the fogs? What is a good distance to have car back from a garage door and then height of fogs on shining on garage doors? I want benefits of the brightness but do not want to attract toooooo much attention of flashes from others.

I assume there are holes in the plastic panels under the car to adjust the fogs with torx bits without having to remove the plastic or wells right? whats a good height?

thanks

Hello CF,

I realized I started posting in here without a formal introduction so here it is.

We know everyone is getting tired of anything from Miami, but yes we are from Miami. However, we do not make any wheels nor do we have any ties to any wheel company. We are here to fill a void. That void being offering wheels from wheel companies that aren’t mainstream (BBS, HRE, etc). We want to offer something new to the online community.

We intend to stay a small business so every customer feels comfortable calling us at 11pm; if needed. We will strive to have NO working hours. Our working hours will be all day everyday.

With that said as of right now the site isn’t 100% operational, but wheel line pictures are being uploaded to Facebook and Myspace for your temporary viewing pleasure.

We are on AIM, Skype, cell, email…basically if you want to reach us we will be ready.

As of right now we are representing the Forgestar, ADV.1, and VMR wheel lines. There will be about 4 more lines included in the near future.

As of right now ADV.1 would be our only offering to the Cadillac group as neither other option is offerent your bolt pattern. Hence all the ADV.1 info below :)

We also offer powder coating for anything you want.

Some information on the wheel lines:

Forgestar-

1)	Flow Formed Cast wheels (stronger than regular cast…basically in between a forged wheel and cast wheel in regards to strength and weight)
2)	Clears Most BBK
3)	1 piece

Model F14

VMR-

1)	Cast Wheel
2)	Currently no fitment for Vettes

Wheel Line up

ADV.1-

1)	100% Forged
2)	Fully customizable to any fitment, color, etc.
3)	Powder coated
4)	1 piece and 3 piece offerings
5)	Lightweight

Thanks to CTSV-Rob, Slither, Shady and others for their BIG help !! Below is the full list of LED i bought from V-LEDs.com and where I put them. I was able to change ALL interior and exterior bulbs with LEDs except the rear turns due to a polarity issue with the car wiring to the front corners and front turns. I chose to leave those alone for the benefit of all the rest.

Also added DDM HID to clear homemade fogs 55W 6K.

Rear tails brake and rear: 4 bulbs 3157_20_R
Rear side markers (in rear housing): 2 bulbs: 194_X5_HP_R
Reverse lights: 2 bulbs: 3157_20_W
license plate bulbs: 2 bulbs: 194_4_HP_W
map lights 2 bulb: 194_HP_W_6K
rear dome light 1 light: 211_20_W
trunk light 1 light: 211_20_W (same as above)
under door lights 2 bulbs: 211_3HP_W_6K
under dash lights 2 bulbs: 561_B
front side markers 2 bulbs: 194_4_HP_A
front turns 2 bulbs: 3157_20_A
headlight triangles: autoillumination.com SMT-9 tower. (only non VLED light)

I also modified the flasher module to eliminate the hyper flashing as a result of the lower current draw. I DID NOT install any resistors. ALL was plug and play. The rears are bright as heck with the pedal pushed the reverse are blinding, the HID is sick. The interior is great with the daylight 6K interior LEDs and the blue under dash light on the tan interior. It amazingly hides dirt and stains on the floor from sight.

Ask questions or PM if you have any questions. again guys thanks for the help - this was the final result of your help !!!

more photos in teh next thread...

I've been distracted with things around the house and the weather has been going south causing me to be a little V hesitant. I miss the warm weather already.

For a few years, I have been on the fence about buying a buffer / polisher combo. Being a Griots Garage product user, they had a sale and I jumped on their kit. I have to say since I was an animal about keeping the car clean to begin with, I didn't really notice a difference in shine right away, and got mixed results after doing a test on my trunk. So at first I was nun too happy.

Yesterday I gave it the old college try after having an opening in the morning. I had to rush due to time constraints, and I don't know when I'd get another chance with the weather being so nice and my end result could have been better. Using the Griots random orbital and machine polish 3, with a coat of best of show wax and made her look real nice. If I had more time, I can only imagine what it will look like next spring when I give it a full effort. I was able to get all but a few now minute swirl marks out, and even made some small speckles disappear. It even removed some marks I had for about 4.5 years that were on the paint. I can't wait until I have more time to spend on it with out rushing and able to do a double coat of wax. They were saying for the real sickos out there (me) to do a full coat, let it sit 3 hours, do another over that, let it sit 3 hours, one more coat then let sit over night. If I go through all that, the god damn v better shine like freakin mirrors.

Oh, and I got the door ding removed. Can't even tell where it was, although it was prolly the size of a button, it drove me crazy.

So I felt like I should actually contribute to the appearance threads...

I saw "LUVMY04V" post in the "Texas Mile" thread wondering if he could pull off gold calipers. Twitch responded by saying "I told you that you should have done yellow"

That got me thinking... my front calipers are just starting to turn gold (not the nice ultra gold like tbjs, but a yucky slightly gold tinge on sections of the caliper. IMO is looks like crap and I can't just "buff it out"

Now I'm not much of a visual mods guy, but these crappy gold fading calipers are making my rims look like crap, they look dirty. So after seeing the comments above I thought... why not just paint the whole thing a stock brembo gold color and put a brembo sticker on it to boot... I mean the new Pontiac GXP has a brembo option.. and it looks pretty stellar to me. See stock GXP ones below in 1st pic

something that looks along the lines of this

or maybe a red... as long as it's a stock brembo thing... and not some cheap imitation

I have to assume the red would be easier to track down or match in a high heat paint... but since our calipers turn gold... I'm kinda leanin toward the gold.

I couldn't track down any high heat brembo gold colored paint though... all I found was some threads on different car sites stating they used a stock honda civic color(Honda Inca Pearl, paint code Y-61P, part#08703-Y61PPAH) to touch up their scarred stock gold brembo pads and the paint was almost a spot on match... Well I don't want to use civic paint on the V!!! not to mention I'd pry generate enough heat to make it peel right off and then I'd be even worse off than before!

So! this leads to the point of the thread.....

Where to get the above GM stock brembo stickers (the ones that will last and not peel off like some ebay knock off) (in the 1st pic)

and where to get some ultra high heat paint that IS or matches the stock brembo caliper paint?

BTW. I don't consider this a ricer mod since we do actually have brembo calipers and mine are starting to turn gold anyways(in the front only)... but still!!!

Plan B is just to get some high heat silver that matches and blast over the sections turning gold... but then again... I'll have to search for that thread specifying the correct hi temp silver paint to use....
