Computer & Digital Dashboard Resets

Remove this ad
While driving my Deville 96 slowly in a back alley, the whole digital dashboard went off for a second, I felt that the engine was almost about to stop ...

Then all of a sudden in less than a second and before the engine stops, the dash lights came back asif the Computer was restarting as the ABS light, Traction Control, ... etc. were cycling until everything was back to normal ...

This happened to me two times in a week and I am afriad that the car will die on me at any point in time ...

It that a Battery, Grounding, Computer PCM / ECM, ... or what ???

Appreciate your help ...

Re: Computer & Digital Dashboard Resets

Don't drive in back alleys?

I am going to go with grounding, but please pull the codes as someone who actually knows what they are talking about will need them to really help you.

Re: Computer & Digital Dashboard Resets

The Codes are as follows ...

PC0135 - PC0147 - PC0154 - PC0155 ...

I clear them, then they come back again, then their status change from "Current" to "History" and then they come back again ...

Do you think the Computer PCM / ECM needs reporgramming or it is just a grounding issue ??? ...

Thanks for your help ...

Re: Computer & Digital Dashboard Resets

Yesterday, I changed the Battery, cleaned the battery Cables and was hoping that the problem might get resolved as I have noticed the battery voltage fluctuating on the Battery Meter in the dashboard ...

After driving for about 22 miles, Service Emission came back again !!!

Error Codes are PC0154 [H] - PC0603 [H] - PZ1552 [H] ...

My concern is the PC0154 which is defined as O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 2 Sensor 1)

I'm confused wether Bank 2 - Sensor 1 is the Front or Rear [Firewall] ???

Any thoughts will be appreciated ...

Re: Computer & Digital Dashboard Resets

I think since this really isn't electrical you should re-post in the Deville section that is applicable to your car. Sorry you didn't get much help here...but O2 sensors would get much more help in the Deville section.
