    major electrical malfunction

I recently took out my aftermarket stereo and unfortunately tried to keep all the wires seperated with no electric tape. Needless to say one wire contacted metal. Now I figured I'd change a fuse and be on my way. But now the headlights, power locks, windows, lighter, interior lights, and brake lights all dont work. My blinkers and windshield wipers do. Checked the relay on the fuse panel. Car is a 70 coupe deville any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Well look on the bright side, you found the keep alive circut. It sounds like you blew the Body fuse, NOT the radio fuse. The Radio fuse is a switched circut that is hot with the key on. The Body fuse should be hot at all times.

I meant to say that i checked the circuit breaker on the fuse panel not the relay. i checked the fuses and had to replace one, still no luck
