92 seville anti-theft problem

i have a 92 seville that starts when it wants some times it dont start or turn over or nothing other times it sez wait 3 minutes i replaced the key n still have the same problem it all started when my electric trunk stopped working plz let have any info on this thank u in advance george

The wires inside ignition lock cylinder are probably moving south. If that is the case some day they will fail permanently and you'll be not able to start the car. You have two options:
1.Replace tghe ignition lock cylinder.
2. Bypass the security system by installing a resistor (matching one in your key) on car's side. There are wires by the bottom of th esteering column. One of them should be cut and shorted with said resistor bought at RadioShak.

yep either one of these will fix. my boys' 96 impala did this and thats how he fixed it(the resistor)
