100% no power - HELP!

Remove this ad
I have a 1999 Cadillac DeVille Concours that looses power whenever it wants to. I can start the car, drive for 20 minutes, turn it off and it won't start again for 5 minutes to several hours. Once it didn't start until the next day.

I have recently lost power while driving...but power came back seconds later and the car kept running. The one time I lost power while driving the dash went black, the clock reset and all the info. on the dash reset while driving. When this happen I didn't not have to restart the car...I just kept driving.

let me qualify loosing power. Not one light, no turning over, no radio, attena, no power trunk or anything at all.

Any ideas?

Thanks so much for your time.

Test the battery and cables, make sure the connections are clean and tight.

Re: 100% no power - HELP!

I had the same problem with a couple of my caddy's. The positive battery cable is not getting a good connection. Replace the cable or what i did cut all the rubber from around the two cables, clean and use one of those bolt kits from any auto parts stores.
