    Re: 2000 Deville

I think you're asking about how to install fog lamps. Depends on whether or not you have the DTS-style bumper cover (fog light cutouts/brackets) or the plain bumper which would require modification. Fog lights would need their own switch and wiring circuit - to leave them on all the time (wired to the headlamp circuits) is uncomfortable bling for oncoming drivers.

Many CF members own a "2000 Deville". I changed your thread title to be a bit more descriptive.

Yes I have the base but I was the hood one day and notice that there is a wire harness that runs up in front of the radiator sitting a bracket going nowhere. I was wondering if it was for the fog lamps if the driver wanted to add them. If so could the base bumper cover be modified to fit oem fog lamps

Gm doesn't put extra wires in. If you want fog lamps you will have to run all the wiring yourself. If you have found wires to nowhere something is missing. Snap a pic and post maybe someone can help id them.

Kinda sounds like you're looking at the outside air temperature sensor.

    Yeah, that ^^^^

The ambient air temperature sensor is a black pointy thing at the end of the harness that is clipped to the hood latch/radiator brace.

Look at your wiring diagrams in www.gmpartsgiant.com - your car, year, model, system, subsystem; the INFO tab opens a diagram keyed to the text page.
