Angry Intermitant Horn Problem

Remove this ad
I have recently begun to experience an annoying problem with my 94 Eldo TC. My horn will honk intermintininaly when I turn the steering wheel. Not all the time but usually when it's a left turn (although sometimes when it's a right turn)and at about 30 to 45 degrees. Having the turn signal on seems to make it happen more often, but it doesn't happen all the time. Any ideas for a fix other than other than disconnecting the horn?

Re: Intermitant Horn Problem

Yes, take the steering wheel off and fix what is really wrong. But be VERY careful with the airbag and it's circuits! It can blow up if you don't know what you're doing! Seriously!

Or, bring it to a mechanic so he can fix it. There is probably some metallic piece stuck in the horn's contact ring shorting out the circuit.

Re: Intermitant Horn Problem

Thanks, I'll run it to the dealer. I'm not going to mess with the bag issue. out of my league.
