| Blower Motor Stays On ~ Key Out 1992 Eldorado Okay, I know this is a fairly common thread, however I wish to add some information regarding the Delco Part Number and so on....
The 4 pin / 2 pin style fan control module only uses 3 pin / 1 pin of the harness connection. The Delco Part number is 16061602, however an aftermarket replacement may be configured as 3 pin / 1 pin, which should work just fine.
Since I still have my 91 Seville resting at the side of my shop, I had the exact replacement part which solved the problem for my 1992 Eldorado.
From what I have read in this forum, (thanks to you all) this part was last used in the 1993 model year where upon in 1994 therafter, the fan control module was incorporated into the fan motor unit.
The fan control module is located on top of the black plastic plenum to the left of the blower fan. Should yours decide to stay on with the key out of the ignition, you can "unplug" the larger of the two connectors to stop the fan. It will be the connector with the big purple wire.
When the fan module fails, it will either fail always on, or always off. Be SURE you check this item first. It is far less expensive than a new fan motor. With the summer months at hand, and fall soon approaching, it is likely someone else will experience this problem. This post is for you!
How it is wired.......
At the blower control module you should find a 2 pin connection and a 4 pin connection side by side. Only one wire serves the 2 pin connector, and only 3 wires serve the 4 pin connector.

Gray/Solid black stripe = from ACP variable voltage ouput to blower control module. [4 pin connector]
