    Power windows 97 SLS...Please Help

Can someone help me??? None of my windows are working at all. I checked the circuit breaker under the hood and it seems to be fine. Does anyone have another suggestion of what i should check. i pulled the door panel off and have access to the main switch but am not sure how to test it.

Post more on anything you have done - anything - and maybe someone will be able to help you. You can find a lot of problems with an independent power supply and ground.

You test it with a test light. With car running put the alligator clip on a good clean ground and the probe on the back side of the switch. The large purple or pink wire should be hot at all times, car running. It should light up the bulb in the test light handle. Then one at a time, probe each wire to each switch. As you move the window switch, one side should light up, then moving the switch the other direction the other wire to that switch should light up. If you have no power to the purple or pink wire then suspect a broken wire between the door and door hinge area. Opening/closing the door over the years can break wires within the plastic boot the wires run thru.

My 1998 SLS had the same problem, could not find any wiring problems in doors or switches. Took back seat out to access the computer boxes behind them and disconnected and reconnected all the wire connectors and all but the passenger front switch work now. I can work passenger front with driver side however. So something was loose, not sure what it was but none worked before this.
