Question The front and rear blower motor DONOT work with A/C, heator & defosters at any speed

    Hello Folks,

The car is a 98 Deville. The front and read blower motors just do not work.
I checked the from motor connector with the engine and A/C runing with high and low speeds. The red pin is 12V, the grey and black pins are 0V.

I also applied 12V to the red connector and 6V to the grey connector, the motor doesn't work.

Does it mean both sides have problems?

    Thank you!

    PI

Most likely blower is dead. Pretty common. Mine went out on my 97 SLS. However you said both blowers are inopperable? Hmm, kinda strange that both do not come on.

Hope I didnt waste your time.

Replace the Blower motor. Lucky you... a lot of times they go bad and fill the car with burning electrical smell that lasts for months. There is no rear blower on that car. It gets air from the front duct and comes out from under the console.

Oh, so only one motor. Yea, blower was a good call. Fortunately for me it was just a faint smell of insulation and a tiny plume of smoke. I think more smoke came from my ears when it happended.
