Folks:
The owners manual for my 91 Eldo specs the inner headlamp bulb as 9005 ("inner" identified by the Service Manual as high beam), and specs the outer headlamp bulb as 9006. I know from experience, however, that 9006 does not work -- and I had written in the manual "9004" for the outer bulb after a previous replacement.
But the Service Manual specs the headlamp bulb as 9004, and refers to "two
interchangeable double filament bulbs which provide both high and low beams."
Finally, the Quick Reference Specification Guide lists "9004H" as a "composite" bulb for the headlamps.
So what's going on here?

Maybe earlier in production different bulbs were used, but later a dual-purpose 9004 bulb came on the scene?
Thanks for any input!
