Question Headlamp washer - help needed

Remove this ad
OK, folks - i am finally got my new toy 1996 Eldorado (vin Y). IŽd like to change low beams with xenons. But in our country is law, that headlamp washers neeeded then.
And my car doesnt have this option. Am i in right path, that i need washer motor and reservoir, headlamp washer module and nozzles? And all wiring is already in car?
And - where can i find those parts? Ordering them from our dealer is not an option, cause they charge probably million bucks for it. Also, as i am in other side of world, i cant go to junkyards - too long trip
Can someone help me with this problem?

Re: Headlamp washer - help needed

The washers are designed to spray only when you use the windshield washers, so simply adding the system to your existing windshield washers should be rather simple. Where the main supply hose comes from your washer pump going to the base of the windshield, cut that hose install a vacuum hose " tee" allowing you to add another hose. Run that hose to the base of the driver headlight then "tee" that hose to run another hose over to the passenger headlight. Any washer nozzle that mounts to the hood of any car can then be installed either on the bumper or at the bottom of the headlight assembly. So, when you use the washers to clean the windshield, you are also spraying the headlights. Hope this helps.

Re: Headlamp washer - help needed

Go to a junk yard. Get ANOTHER tank and Pump and washer jets.
Hook up a SPST momentary switch to 12 volts and mount it somewhere accessable (dash or console) to give you press to WASH.
Should cost you very little. Here in the States should be less than $20.
