02 deville codes and associated parts and repairs

hey folks, i have gotten a lot of great info off of this forum and hope to be able to contribute after learning about my cadi more.

i am having issues with my door window/lock switches. the only one that actually works is the pass. front. every other doors window controls are toast. both driver side window regulators failed and i did the replacement myself. i ran the codes and it seems like i have a u1000 for every area of the computer (ddm, dim, ipc, ipm, irc, lrd, pdm, rim, rrd). can anyone tell me what that means?

also, the cluster was flipping out and giving me all kinds of warnings, which was set back to normal after a restart. i unhooked the harness from the ddm to the master window/mirror switch and it seemed to stop. i'm pretty sure that cause a few of the u1000's.

her is a list of my codes for those intrepid enough to decipher them and try to help me out.

DDM U1000 - class 2 comm malfunction
U1714 - loss of front door module to window motor normal speed comm.

DIM U1000

IPC U1000

IPM B0429 - Temperature control #3 rear circuit range/performance

IRC U1000
U1016 - Loss of comm with PCM
U1129 - Loss of comm with AMP

LRD U1000

PDM U1000

RIM U1000
C0660 - Level control exhaust valve circuit malfunction

RRD U1000

ANY help for ANY of these would be greatly appreciated.

(btw, these are all "current" codes. There are also history codes)

This a going to be a difficult fix. You have a serial data communication open circuit or circuits. You really need a Tech2 to see what modules are not communicating on the data bus, then you can go from there and ohm out your circuits, there may be a dead module too.

Now, above all the most important thing to check is your battery and battery connections, make sure everything is clean and tight.

Thanks frankt. i fugured it would be a doozie. i guess i will just take it to my local gm dealer and let em have at it.

all battery terminals were recently checked when i replaced my battery and primary ground cable, so I may jsut aske them to look it back over in case they did something that upset the balance.

I saw the IPM B0429 on your post and mine reads current anybody know what that is? I own a 2001 Deville just hit me on the privite message!
