DDM Errors

Remove this ad
My front passenger side window is going crazy... Auto up doesn't work, about half way up it retracts as if the anti-pinch feature was triggered. And sometimes the driver side switch for that window stops working entirely (usually only happens when the window is down, and i have to be somewhere!). DIC gives the following codes:
All DDM - b1322, b3172, b3282, b3832, b3833, u1301, u1713, & u1715.

I am pretty sure the passenger DDM is hosed... But does anyone have a copy of the diagnostic guide for the ddm? Or for each individual code so i can put the info together? Anyone else have this problem? I would hate for it to be a loose wire!

thanks,
ed

Re: DDM Errors

The Service Manual troubleshooting refers to having a Tech II scanner to input commands and display results. And all your codes relate to DDM which is Driver's Door Module; the right front door module would be RFDM.

If you are experiencing all these window problems from the driver's position, I would suspect the driver's door window switch assembly. Sometimes you can confirm a problem in the switch by commanding the flaky window switch to move the window, and then kind of slamming the door closed at the same time. If the window responds properly, that would be a big clue.

Re: DDM Errors

Try to reinitialize the windows.
Roll the window up and hold the switch in the up position for 3 to 5 seconds after it is up all the way, then roll it down and hold it in the down position for the same.
If you continue to have the problem you might have a bad sensor in the window regulator.
I doubt it is the module, but not impossible.

Re: DDM Errors

Thanks for your input! One problem though, I already tried to reprogram the windows, and the passenger side gets stuck in the down position (or up position) when the window switch (driver or passenger side switch) is held down for more than a second or two.
