Re: Corsa Intro

I have had a Corsa system on my 99 STS for a year now and can't say enough good things about it. I look forward to driving my car everyday since I installed the Corsa. The sound and looks draw comments everywhere I go, kinda makes you feel like your in a hot rod again. Great job Corsa. (no, I don't work for Corsa

Re: Corsa Intro

I would love to put a Corsa exhaust system on my 93 STS, but...you don't have it availible and your prices are to high.

Come down a notch or two, and lets make a deal.

George,
Good to hear that you would consider our product on your car. Unfortunately, we currently do not have any plans to release a system for the earlier STS models. We are focusing our resources on products for newer vehicles.

As far as the cost is concerned, our product is very unique with our patented RSC technology being applied to cancel the DRONE other performance exhausts are known for. In order to deliver a superior product with no drone, the design of our mufflers is very labor and material (304SS) intensive.
I hope we can be of assistance to you at some point in the near future.
Regards,
GP

GP, Thank you for your prompt reply.

I am sorry to here that you aren't considering a catback system, for the earlier models of the STS. I can't believe there is much difference between the model years to prevent you from putting one together.

The later ones used a resonator, and there was likely a little different bending of the main exhaust pipe. That doesn't sound like a big problem to resolve. I doubt the actual muffler differs much, if at all for the Northstar engines.

There are a number of us with the earlier versions of the STS or ETC that are looking for a quality system. You are missing some sales. I'm sure you have a good customer base, adding a few more of us to it should be welcomed.

I hope you will reconsider and offer a system for us. If one was available in the $600 - $750 range I would be interested.

-George

I have no question about wot application. What about light throttle applications? Does it increase of decrease that performance?

The gain in performance with any product that helps the engine breathe better depends on how hard the engine is working. The higher the revs, the greater the gain due to an exhaust or intake system (up to a point).

You will have all the crisp sporty sound when accelerating lightly, but peak HP gains typically are seen at elevated engine RPM.

GP

Re: Corsa Intro

At the new automotive school I'm at, I've had more people ask me about my exhaust system than anywhere else. They hear me roar past them each night on the way home and then ask me the next day. "What kind of exhaust do you have on that thing?". I tell them,"Corsa". Then they usually say "It sounds awesome!" I just can't get enough of this sound, whether cruising through town, or flooring it while getting onto the highway. This was the first thing I got for my car when I bought it, and I think it was the best thing that I will ever add to it. Nothing makes me feel better than the looks I get from other people when they hear me go past them. I love it. .

I do have one question though, will you STS system fit the older body style (1993-97) with slight modification? The reason I ask is, I'm looking into a 1995-96 STS and would like to put your system on it if possible. I know it not a direct fit, but I have access to extra pipe and welding equipment. Any info would be great. Thanks.

Talking Re: Corsa Intro

I put your Corsa system on my 2005 CTS-V 2 months after I purchased the car, and I have to tell you, it took a car that was great to drive to a car that is a BLAST to drive! The sound is absolutely perfect (at all speeds) in my opinion, and I find myself downshifting just to hear it! Also, the fit and finish on the system is top-notch.

I do have a comment - I know it's common to get a "burble" from the exhaust when decelerating and, while it's not aggravating, is there a way to minimize it?

Re: Corsa Intro

Thanks for the inquiry. We do not have any systems for the 94 Eldorado and currently do not have plans to offer one.

GP

Re: Corsa Intro

I see that you now offer a system for the SRX. Do you offer a discount to this forum's members? At least pay shipping? Thank you
