Oh come on now, the LUMINA?! Of all the nameplates to bring back, they chose that? Why not the Caprice? Atleast that has a somewhat interesting history behind it.

I agree. Lumina is a Chevy model name that should be retired.

The Lumina SS is sold in the middle east the way you see it here. Its likely to be called something entirely different in the US (Grand Prix). I suspect they're modifying it to meet American safety and emission standards.

whatever they name it who cares. That's the sweetest car I've seen from GM in a long time. That is 5 times better than the Impala by appearance alone and I don't care if its called "lumina". Since cadillacforums.com is a famous and prolific site and GM people are on it all the time, I hope these guys manufacture this car for the US. I guarantee it would sell.

Hear that GM?? Sell this car in the USA and you'll make mad profits. And when you release that car, don't change a thing about the exterior.

    that is all.

    Re: New Chevy Lumina

I disagree. I think it's a very bland design, kinda like the GTO. It's not ugly at all, just boring. But I'm sure it'll be very nice inside and well equipped, and probably priced quite nicely.

As much as I like the Caprice lineage, I'm not sure if they should call it the Caprice though. Caprices to me mean "floaty", "cushy" "luxurious" and "huge"...not words associated with a sports sedan.

    How about:
    Bel Air
    Biscayne
    Nova
    Chevelle

Well good for you, I'm gonna stick with bland, boring and soulless though. Even the taillights look like something off an Aveo sedan.

Its clean with crisp edges and creases, making it look formal. Derivative in a good way, like an old Silverado.

    Ditto.

Also GM as some people may not know currently sells a Impala SS.

Who cares what they name it, its just a name. The car is cool and what ever they name it won't make is less cool.
