Bro, I'm about one 1/2 of a step behind you on this one. But the thing is, I just don't think my body can handle it anymore because of my injuries from the first go-round and the work I've done outside since hasn't helped.

I'm a web designer for an American Express travel company. When CadillacOwners.com started getting really busy, I gave up a part time position at National Aeronautics and Space Administration as a Digital Conference Archivist...

That was a cool job.. I got to hear lots of very interesting things as I attended many conferences. I still have many of those recordings. There's even one where they accept the fact that there's life on Mars...

Hey, Sandy that's interesting - both of my parents got their advanced degrees from Temple, and my mother was chair of the Special Ed department when they both retired early to Florida back in '78. But enough about them. It's ME you all want to hear about...

I've worked pretty much full time since I was 16

    1) Caddy at a local semi-upscale private golf course (2 bags/round, 2 rounds a day for about $25 bucks back then)

    2) Kitchen staff at a hospital - we shared an elevator with the morgue, so that wasn't always too much fun...

    3) Journeyman laborer at a semi-trailer factory - everything from bucking rivets to assembling rear brake assemblies and mounting tires. Paid for college and my Jag.

    4) Real estate sales 1977-1981 - never work for your father in law.

    5) Computer software tech, 1981-1986 for Dun & Bradstreet

    6) Systems Analyst for Electric Utility, 1986-2000 - became to white, too male and too well paid to continue, so they eliminated my position.

    7) Database Analyst for FAA, 2001-2002 - my budget was reallocated due to 9/11

    8) Financial Analyst for AC Casino, 2002-2003 - department eliminated after merger

    9) Marketing Analyst for AC Casino, 2003-2005 - left voluntarily to move here to Salem

    10) Independent computer consultant, 1991 - 2006, designing distributed database applications for various clients - and you know what they say about 'consultants' - "Jesse James has traded his six-gun for a briefcase" lol

    11) P/T College I/T instructor, evenings from 1986 to 2004.

Also getting my teaching Cert from NJ DOE so I can corrupt the minds of our young ones even more than I do now.

    Re: Whats your Career/Job?

Well my total of job history
May-August 2001- Worked at Papa Murphy's making take and bake pizzas, got fired for working too slow

May-August 2003- Worked at Camp Snoopy (now renamed "The Park At Mall of America"), was a food service attendant, sold food in various little carts throughout the park

September 17 2003- September 16 2005- Worked at a Rainbow Foods as a cashier. Hated every moment of those (almost) two years! But the money from that job and the job at Camp snoopy bought my Buick then my Cadillac

September 19 2005- July 7 2006, Parts/ Service Cashier at Nissan dealership. Decent job, nice coworkers, but never made any money because I was only working 11-20 hours a week.

July 11 2006- now, Service Runner at Chevrolet dealership.

    Re: Whats your Career/Job?

I was a new car dealer, realized how much I hated it and sold out and retired. After 2 weeks boredom set in.

Now I own a BMW Parts business (I'm also a PowerSeller on eBay, mainly M3 parts) and repair/performance shop. I pretty much specialize in M cars. (In addition to the Caddy I have a bunch of BMWs.. )
