I was on the road driving around my campus when I saw this girl on a bicycle riding down the same road as me. She had white earbuds in her ears and by the look on her face she was more interested in jamming her favorite song than paying attention to what was on the road. She then proceeds to cut me off! I stopped and watched in horror as she crashed into the side of my car. Pretty much she didn't even see my big ass car until she smacked her face in it. My car didn't get any scratches and she was okay, but she was pissed off.
Honestly, do bicyclists and pedestrians think they own the road?

Hey now, I mountain bike/free ride every week and I listen to music while doing it. I live at the beach so all the major roads have bike lanes but when there are not bike lanes and I have to ride on the road I do pay attention... you pretty much have too if you don't want to be the hood ornament of an 85 Fleetwood with 10,000 miles on it piloted by a blue hair straining to see over the dash board.
If they are bike lanes, then yes, use them. But here in Eagan, there aren't any bike lanes, they just use the street with the drivers. And it sucks being behind one on a one lane road, because theres no way they're gonna do the speed limit, and a lot of the time you can't pass.
