    Pet peeves

    So what are yours?

    For me:

-When people make a mess in my car
    -Fingerprints on my windows
-When the little notch that holds the handle down on gas pumps doesn't work
-When people leave weights laying around at the gym
-When people leave towels on the machines/benches at the gym
    -People with obnoxious ring tones
-When people don't use thier turn signal
-People who drive slow in the left lane
-When my steering wheel isn't perfectly straight when I park

    - Repetition, I hate having to repeat myself.
    - Stupidity, I'm no genius myself, but within reason here....
    - People who pronounce words like "ideas" as "idears."
    - Bratty children, mostly because I can't kick them....
    - People who fling their car doors open and don't watch.

    Re: Pet peeves

Just like Dope I hate repitition also...

    hmm let's see:
-People who are rude and disrespectful
-People who don't know how to merge
-People who weave in and out of traffic or tailgate
-People who think they are better than everyone else
-People that talk so much that you can never get a word in edgewise (i work with one of these...she doesn't have ANY idea how much she talks. She insists on telling you every single detail of her life starting with the drive home after work and all the way through until the morning when she gets to work again the next day no matter how uneventful it was).
-People who always think they are right
    -People who play the victim
-People that talk so much sh*t about someone and then the next tim ethey see them they act all fake "HI, omg how have you been?!"
-People who are negative all of the time

Wow, there are a lot of things I dislike...I'll just stop here Sorry it is so focused on people, had a bad day at work and it's all coming out here

    Mine:

    Liars,
    Radical left-wing liberals,
People who preach socialism (see above),
Not using turn signals (I can be an ass here; when people don't signal but try to cut in front, I don't let them),
People who constantly whine about trivial shit,
Any sort of damage done to my car that wasn't done by me,
People who abuse animals (I know, I sound like an activist here, but I'm an avid dog guy),
When people come into my home and tell me how to live,
When people tell me what I 'need' to do (especially when I don't ask them),
When someone tries to argue with me and has no reasonable logic (if you have good, sound logic, then we can argue our points all night long),
    Super-religious nuts,
    My "X,"

There's more, but I'll be damned if I'm going to think about them all!

    AHHH!!! LOSING THINGS!!!

Everytime I lose something I go insane. I always envision little gremlins holding whatever I'm missing and dancing around with it, laughing at me. I get so pissed off when I can't find something.

I don't ask too many questions, wouldn't you agree? I mean, I don't think I do, do I? How are you? I am okay, you? I don't know about some people, what do you think?

Yeah, people who ask too may questions, especially personal questions, can get on my nerves real quick. What do you think about it?

    Re: Pet peeves

I've had half a century to save up, guys, so hold onto your knickers... lol

    1) Materials (such as paper towels, cardboard soda can holders) that have perforarations for tearing, but the material itself is weaker than the perforation, and it doesn't tear correctly. Who here hasn't had a paper towel sheet tear in half instead of separating at the perfs?

    2) DVD and CD boxes that take an axe, two X-Acto knives, a paper cutter, a bolt cutter and half a stick of C4 to get open. And it's all 'cause you damn kids keep trying to shoplift 'em at BestBuy and WalMart.. lol

    3) Government programs and politicians.

    4) Liberals who don't know what they're talking about.

    5) Conservatives who don't know what they're talking about

    6) Environmentalists who don't know what they're talking about.

    7) Recycling rules that you have to TIE your news papers instead of putting them in a paper grocery bag. They keep leaving bright orange stickers on my newspapers announcing that I'm such a bad public spirited citizen 'cause I don't follow the rules, so the other day when the county refused to take two bags of papers, I them in the parking lot in front of the county recycling office instead.

    8) Recycling, period. Bogus science, bad economics, and environmentally putrid. If you don't agree, check out the EPA top 25 SUPERFUND cleanup sites, and see how many are recycling centers...

    9) Big business liars, cheats and thieves. Honest ones are ok, its the L, C & T I don't cotton to.

    10) Organized religion of nearly every stripe. Except Zoroastrianism, cause they worship fire and that's cool....

    11) People who hold totally unreasonable opinions in the face of fact and reason, just because "it feels good."

    12) Mechanical or other devices that don't work correctly - casters on chairs that don't turn, zippers that don't zip, buttons that come off, knobs that fall off.

    13) Fast food order takers that don't get my order right.

    14) People who are intolerant of people different from themselves, or, like Illumina, perhaps from another planet entirely.. lol

    15) Televangelists.

    16) Health club and/or Fitness ads that show a bunch of 19 year old, size 2 women, or pumped up buff guys, instead of the usual kind of people you see in a gym..

    17) Car ads that state "Closed Course - Professional Driver. Do Not Attempt", show the car climbing up Mt Freakin' Everest or the Empire State Building or something equally outrageous. Gimme a break.

    18) People who live comfortably in the suburbs protesting about 'sprawl' in their neighborhoods.

    19) Farmers collecting millions of dollars to either NOT farm, plow crops under, or keep their prices above market.

    20) Poor people collecting food stamps to pay for the above mentioned food.

    21) Not Farming and not collecting food stamps, and having to pay taxes to support #19 and #20

    22) Erin Brockovich and her gang of thieves, and the popular devotion they are accorded, contrary to the facts of the case.

    23) Paris & Nicole, Nick & Jessica, Britney and what's-his-name, Madonna and whats-his-name, Tom and Katie, Oprah and whoever, and all the rest of the faux celebrities who seem to cast a mesmeric glaze over the eyes and ears of the easily-entertained American public.

    24) Every reality TV show ever produced.

    25) Cell phone use in public places

    26) Computer program error messages whose only available response is hitting an "OK" button on the pop-up window.

    27) People SMILING like imbeciles in TV Commercials as they hold up the can of Ensure or Preparation H or Hamburger Helper.

    28) People in TV commercials holding their McBurger with three fingers of each hand and it's always just perfectly formed and round, never at all like the ones you really get at McKingWendyBells...

    29) Small print disclaimers on mortgage company TV ads

    30) Small print disclaimers in general

    31) The fact that Deep Purple is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

    32) People with over 31 pet peeves...

I have to stop. I can feel my blood pressure rising....

    Tailgaters
People who open or close my Eldorado's doors by the window
Hick pickup drivers with that "ford" mentality (right turn on red without slowing down, first away from every light, shit-looking fake dual exhausts that sound like , etc)
People who don't understand yield signs
    Video or computer game junkies
People who actually think Bose makes a great home audio system
People who don't understand that there really are people who hate beer (aka pisswater swill)
Musical or funky cellular phone ringers
Smug Honda drivers (as if they have a right to be)
Owners who allow dog to poop everywhere and not put it in the garbage
    Nextel two-way function
Nextel two-way function beep tones (I've smashed phones more than once)
Nextel two-way phone in quiet places
Cellular telephone for non emergency business in nice restaurant
Drivers who do not park worth a damn or open their doors onto other cars
Wal-Mart people ("I saved a quarter even though I had to drive 20 more miles to do it!")
Rent-A-Cop mall security ("Umm sir, you spun your tires back there. You aren't allowed to do that here.")
People who put big chrome wheels on high end German vehicles (not one manufacturer offers them, MB, BMW, or Audi; and they look like shit if you add them)
People who think a tri-star on their hood gives them the right to drive like a dumbass (I've pushed a parked new MB S500 30 ft before with my Grand... Brush/Push bars are great! How dare you tripple park me*!)
People who think the Chrysler 300 is somehow worthy of being called a luxury vehicle. (Then again, tt's interior is made of Genuine Playskool material.)

*Tripple park, as in when you are properly parked within the lines of a parking space, as is the car in front of or behind you, and someone else blocks you in by parking illegally in the driving lane, car oriented as if it were in another parking space.

I'm wondering if anyone can be tolerated anymore.

There is so much good in the worst of us, and so much bad in the best of us, that it behooves all of us not to talk about the rest of us.

Actually, according to my intergalactic dictionary, it's the planet "Zoroaster" - they changed the name while you've been gone.

No, I'm quite aware of the change...

You see, it was considered to be 'politically incorrect' to have the term 'roaster' in the planet's name, Zoroaster (which was actually Zo-Roaster), so they changed it to something less offensive so as to appease the rest of the planetary dwellers, so they elected Zoroastrian; a toned down version with the lesser of the word 'roast,' because it sounds less violent.

The other thing is that I am their Fire God in exile; therefore they didn't want to be reminded of the BBQ roasts that I held in celebration for be being so awesome and cool...These people wanted to change their heritage I guess!
