What about the new "dancing" robotics?

I'm talking about that new ad that Cadillac has spent a gazillion bucks to put on, it seems, every channel this week. It has these gesticulating (dancing) robots surrounding a podium on which various current Cadillac models do brief stints ..... all of this seemingly in "black and white." I don't know how this affects the rest of you, but it leaves me scratching my head and wondering who the genius is that choose this looser of an ad to try to perk up Cadillac division sales. Shades of "The Caddy that Zigs" all over again.

The "Ode to Conspicuous Consumption" was definitely a looser also. Maybe it is just the view of an old guy that finds these ads objectionable and certainly in no way a motivation to buy a Cadillac, how do our younger members feel about these new ads?

I just watched it, and it is weird and I don't like it either! I am trying to understand what message it is trying to convey, if there is any!

I liked Cadillac ATS vs The World commercials though! Putting our differences aside about how we feel about the ATS and what type of cars Cadillac should be buidling, I believe we all can agree that there was a very clear and clean message, and it was about the true nature of the ATS. But this one?! I even don't know how this ad can motivate people to consider buying a Cadillac!

Maybe the ad company thinks robots buy cars, or at least Cadillacs.

This just proves my point...Cadillac doesn't know how to market their cars. It's a laughable, horrible commercial and honestly made me cringe.

All new caddys look alike. An srx looks like a cts after the design team whacked off the trunk. They might have cool guts/tech features but look ugly as hell

Re: What about the new "dancing" robotics?

I don't see or watch commercials, but searched for it on-line and I've seen worse.

Try looking at it this way: If the people who made it are that bad, wouldn't you rather have Cadillac paying them and thereby increasing the price of Cadillacs that you have a choice to not buy than have them justifiably jobless and receiving unemployment and thereby raising your taxes which you do NOT have a choice in?

Quit the wining. Especially the people who don't buy new cars at all.

Re: What about the new "dancing" robotics?

I just realized... since GM already owns robots, that commercial probably cost a lot less than the Brad Pitt one that popped up when I searched for the robot one:

You're slipping Hoosier Pop! But I'm glad you are looking out for the Cadillac Division's bottom line. Obviously the division's management isn't looking after it.

Kind of funny coming from a person who posted a commercial in their next post... lol

Saw it the other day, very distasteful.

Nothing says luxury, like dancing robots!

Cadillacs advertising and commercials are terrible so this new crappy one is not a surprise

Haven't been around a "A" horse shows or polo matches lately, wonder if there are any more Cadillacs in the parking lot than there were 20 years ago (zip)?

Not a fan of that commercial. To me it seems to belong in the eighties. I don't think anyone is impressed with industrial robots anymore.
