    Any country listeners?

So I was recording a little acceleration run in my uncles Camaro ss. Now this song is stuck in my head and I can't find it. PLEASE HELP. Bad video yes I know, but I'm just trying to find the name of the song, I've tried googling that phrase of lyrics but nothing comes up.

    That's not C&W - that's pig crap.

Go back 15 years+ and start over. Maybe some Alan Jackson, maybe some Emmylou Harris, Dolly, Randy Travis, K.T. Oslin, Marshall Tucker, Presley, Perkins - the good stuff. hell............ even Eddie Rabbit.

I listen to very little C&W. I couldn't even tell what genre that sound bite was.

You have to go back to Jimmy Rodgers, the singing brakeman to find real country.

Recognize this motor yacht's name - "Big Bad John" ? During marina overnights on several yacht delivery runs up and down the east coast I had a few bourbons with the owner ..........

Yes, there were some very nice tributes published upon Jimmy Dean's Death here in Richmond. Apparently he was very generous with his contributions to the communities various charitable organizations.

I live in Nashville, huge metal head. I can appreciate the music of my fathers and grandfathers. They have museums built around their music in this town. For the past 5 to 9 years, this bro country bullshit that has been put out by the Nashville music machine and populated on FM radio is rubbish, to quote my English friends, because I can't find a decent American phrase to describe this stuff.

The ONLY good song to incorporate a pickup truck into the lyrics was Brad Paisely's "Mud on the Tires" back about 10 years ago. If you really listened to the lyrics, that song was all about romancing your woman.

    Re: Any country listeners?

This CD album is not pure C&W, but it is a collection of "country" hits written by various artists - covered by Emmylou Harris and Mark Knopfler. The vocals and guitar work are some of the best you will ever hear. Play it on a GOOD sound system - you will be sonically rewarded.

Mark Knopfler, EmmyLou Harris: All The Roadrunning.
