Just took two pills meant to treat severe insomnia that have a slight amnesiac effect. They'll give me another medication when I get there, and gas on top of that. This may be interesting... But I may not remember much for the 8-10 hours after they give me the other medication.
My mother and a friend are taking me (we're in the car now) and will be picking me up. Apparently I'll be "entertaining" when they pick me up, so they both have their camera phones ready :yup: .
Thanks guys, ban always rely on you to be... Caring .
I just got home, much more alert than
I thought I'd be, but forming sentences is difficult, it's taking forever to type this wothout massive and co fusing errors. Lol.
The work isn't too major, just lengthy. This was one of 2 5 hour appointments to fill 9 cavities, and perform 2 route cannabis (which may be 3 now). My last dentist was missing things, many things. :nono: total will be ~$7,400.

That's some expensive stuff. Is that what they are using now a days instead of Novocaine? I was just at the dentist on Tuesday. Didn't get any of that! I feel gypped.
Haha, I'm surprised there weren't more mistakes than that. That probably took close to 10 full minutes to type.
I just woke up, whatever was left of the medicine knocked me out for 4 hours. Can't drive until tomorrow. Slight pain when I bite down, not bad.
The sedatives really messed with my perception. I took 2 at home, 2 when I got there, and 1 crushed up under my tongue. Then they put the nitrous nose "mask" on me, and I remember sitting in the dark, wondering when it would start working. Then I remember them starting work, and me asking what they were doing first, which was the root canal. I remember the "jig" not staying on my tooth, and at one point springing out of my mouth and hitting me in the leg... Then I remember them grinding a few times, I remember saying ouch then a nasty taste in my mouth (more novocaine I assume), this happened 2 or 3 times. Then I remember them taking the mask off. These all seemed like consecutive events to me that took about an hour. I looked at my watch, and it had been more than 4! I asked the nurse and she confirmed that it really had been that long. Another 30 minutes or so, and the temporary crown was made and on, and I think I was asleep again before we got out of the parking lot.
An odd experience, but I felt very, VERY relaxed the whole time :histeric:
Glad it all came out OK for you so far. I am sure you are a bit sore. Just having your mouth kept open for 4 hour would make you sore even without any work being done!
I recall in taphonomy, a skeleton we had who had terrible dentition. This is not uncommon, but this one had apparently had terrible dentition for most of his life. Lots of metal affixed to his teeth.
Anyhow, he had died from an infection which grew on the outside of his heart (prime location for this, due to blood not flowing over it) causing a valve to fail.
The infection came from having an exposed root and nerves in his horribly-cared-for teeth.

hey MC saw your text nd replied back but never heard back from you
glad to see yoru still with us you know that dentist they are evile who knows whos going to try and kill you just watch the movie the Dentist before going to the dentist next lol
how ya doing ?
Dentists are much like morticians. We all know that some day we have to see them, but no one ever looks forward to it............................well maybe with the exception of Dullahan.
I see Morticians every day. We sit and chat and have tea or make stew, go to the bar, get in barfights, get in sparring matches with one another, sometimes even with live weaponry.
I ALWAYS look forward to it.
I don't take to sedatives well, at all. I also don't seem to be affected by anesthesia or painkillers, which also explains why I don't get drunk or tipsy (which makes going out to a bar largely pointless, compared to the reasons the rest of my generation does) Not really concerned as to why. Of course, I am always constantly hopped up on adrenaline.
Didn't expect someone else here to know that. Could have gone off and extended my collection of doctrines with a medical one, but I am less interested in that. I have different methods of saving people. Hasn't earned me that set of feathery wings to take me away from here...yet...but I keep the faith.
Hey, for anyone who's nervous at the dentist, I would highly recommend the sedation. It's a bit expensive if you only need one or two fillings done (where I went it was $285 extra), but if you just WON'T go otherwise, it's worth it. They'll do it upon request for any reason, it's not like you have to have major work done. The dentist was telling me that they recently had an older woman who needed sedation just to have impressions taken for dentures. She was having issues gagging.
Not all dentists will do it though. They need to be licensed to use the drugs and gas.

TP, I'm still using the old IPhone. I'm missing a bunch of calls and texts. I'll text you tomorrow.
