What is the most interesting place you been or visited?

I know that "most interesting" is entirely subjective, but I imagine that each one of us has been to a place that he/she found very interesting. Do you have one?

Re: What is the most interesting place you been or visited?

I think that by the standards of the general population, everywhere I go is interesting, because the activities I participate in while there, as well as in most cases, the reason I was required to visit, are the types of things that pop up on those Travel Channel about Interesting (usually Haunted or Mysterious) places. I don't actually watch Travel Channel, but I know it exists, because a friend told me that she heard about it, because there was a show on that station once that she had seen an episode of which was relevant to the topic of discussion. Apparently they are owned by some other, larger station, I imagine Discovery Channel, but possibly National Geographic (Which I thought was just a magazine in the waiting rooms of medical facilities)

Re: What is the most interesting place you been or visited?

I believe it was 2007...went to Germany with my cousin's husband for a project that didn't end up panning out but got to go on the Autobahn. Cousin's hub rented an Audi A4 turbo diesel wagon w/sport package...while not FAST, it was "considerably peppy" and he got it up the low 130s before traffic slowed him down. Legally going that fast, in a nice car, was easily one of the more memorable experiences so far. 2nd would definitely be Newport, RI for the mansion tours a couple summers ago. Those places are amazing.

If by "plebians" you mean blue collar folk, that is and has been since .... forever, the folks who have been making San Bernardino their home for at least 150 years.

Been to two Mayan archaeological sites (in Mexico); pretty interesting place. The ruins at Tulum and Chochoban.

I 'd have to say somewhere in Asia that I've been, Like Hong Kong / Kowloon. Went to the Bottoms Up club where James Bond, Man With the Golden Gun was shot. Vietnam doesn't count. Philippines, Okinawa, Korea...maybe
Europe was too much like the USA in many ways. Asia is just different. Different looking people, smells, culture and so on.
