Big wave to all the forum folks! Just saying Hi!

Thought Id start by posting a quick Hi here,

I've been a long time lurker and felt it was time to get off my lazy kester and contribute a bit. Current Cadillac is a 1989 seville STS one of the C&C carryover vehicles from 1988 still with the original sticker although its mostly faded off. In the process of slow restoring the old girl. She spent most her life being babied in Idaho only to be moved to the east coast about 3 years ago. Since then shes done about 10k miles and really just sat around collecting dust while unfortunatly getting her black paint baked and burlwood faded in the new england sun. Future goals are to slowly bring her back to top condition and continue using her as a great daily driver.

Some previous caddies my wife and I have owned were an 87 FWD fleetwood d'elegance, a 2000 Seville STS and a 91 seville. Im also a big fan of Lincoln Continentals (Insert Fire and Damnation here) and have owned 3 in the last 6 years each has seen between 250k and 350k miles.

Otherwise just an avid car guy and hiker making regular trips to the White Mountains of NH 3 out of the 4 seasons.

It's nice to see people taking care of the unwanted/forgotten Cadillacs from that era. They drive nicely and have comfortable interiors.

    Thanks,

I've always liked this little body style even if it wasn't very popular. Since purchasing this latest one I have yet to see another on the road. So far its already had a few bits of service done water pump, as they always leak, front struts, pads and rotors and a new radiator. Otherwise mechanically the cars been a trooper. Has just over 141k original miles. Some side notes if anyone has access to the side door moldings if they could give me a shout, for now the front 2 have been removed and once it warms up the glue strips will be pulled off. Also looking for a black STS hood without the ornament if anyone in new england happens to know of a salvage car paint is a standard black code non-metallic. Current hood has sever clear coat cracking from sitting in the sun without wax. Lastly going to post this in the seville forum but anyone with a good working knowledge of the teves sytem would like to bounce some ideas off of you before I go the strip and convert route to non-ABS.

Hey Steve, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Cadillac Owners.com. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

    Welcome!!
