I know it just started but I'm going crazy for Denver for doing that on the 1st play. I think Seahawks are gonna take the trophy this year, although I would want Denver to win it. Your predictions?

My grandson has been waiting for this game all month. He is a big fan of the quarterback Russell who attended the same private school that he goes to here in Richmond. My son is totally amazed at how big a fan of football his seven year old kid has become since we were never football fans. What's next stock car racing?

I watched the game at a dedicated party over here. Mind you, due to the time difference the game starts at midnight!
The Denver OL did not have their day. Poor Manning.
But I had a friend over from Seattle, so I was for the Seahawks that night. Nice for them to win the bowl for the first time in the team's history.

The Denver OL was overmatched and the Seahawks had stolen Manning's signs from the game film that the Broncos had traded with them. The Broncos never had a chance. They just weren't good enough. I bet if they played again a week from now the result would be the same.

Where did his interest to football come from? School? Anyway, it is very unfortunate to sit on a couch and watch football while you can get out and ride a horse!

When I was a child, I loved football and playing football (real football, not American "football"). But my parents didn't let me do it. Thanks mom and dad!

Russell Wilson is an alumnus of the private school where my grandson is a student. For the last month, or more, they have been having pep rallies and other activities to cheer for Wilson and the Seahawks. My grandson has become a huge fan of his and the team. Like his father he will not be allowed to play high school because we have been aware of the risks long before the recent outcry in the press. Both my wife and I have have known young guys who have sustained brain injuries playing high school football.

I my self play your kind of football and wouldn't have any problem with my grandson playing soccer. Part of my son's horse training was learning how much it all cost for him to train and compete at the highest levels of junior hunter/jumper competition. My son now has three kids and is and will be paying their private school tuition, he says he couldn't afford a horse program for his kids. Too bad the horses and competing with them taught him a lot and introduced him to many people he wouldn't have met otherwise.

Ben, I really can't say I have only been to a few college football games in my life and spent even less time watching football on TV.I played soccer in prep school, but the only stadium football (soccer) game I have ever been to was Italy vs Yugoslavia at the '84 Olympic Games in L.A.

If you like European (world) football might be interest to know that I spent a day with Edson Nascimento, better know as Pele, back in the mid 1960's. During the summer of '66 I had a summer job escorting VIP State Department visitors to Disneyland (and other places). One day I was assigned to pick Pele up at his hotel and escort him to Disneyland and take him around. Of course having lived and Brazil I knew who he was, but no one seemed to know who he was in the U.S. at that time. So we were free of people coming up to meet him or get his autograph. We had a great time and were able to do a low profile day without any commotion or other attention. I really liked Pele , a very warm and pleasant man typical of Brazilians of that era. He didn't speak English well so my ability to speak Portuguese was much appreciated and help make a really great day for both of us. Later after he had return to Brazil I received a very nice thank you note from (which I still have) along with the Santos Futeball Club that he gave me . He is an old man, like Mohammed Ali, but still revered throughout the world.

I don't remember knowing any American football players and not having been to many games I wouldn't know what the sport's fans are like.

I understand that equestrian show jumping is a very bug spectator sport in Europe .... third most attended after Football and auto racing. In this country the sport draws a very limited audience. At the big shows (L.A., NYC, and Washington, DC, you will see many celebrities, CEO's, and high level attorneys, not to mention the scions of some of the wealthiest families in North America (and Korea). By and large most are pleasant but like the former Capt. Kirk there are the unpleasant ones too.

What I find most interesting about Russell Wilson is what a stickler for preparation he is and how intellectually he approaches the game.
As the most casual of fans and coming from a state where our Packers for many year had a quarterback with extreme raw talent and ability, but was not the smartest in the league, it is great to see.
