All I can say is that Snookie from the MTV show Jersey Shore is going to be at my work on Friday. Doing a "late skate" on the ice rink we have outside. So hopefully she wouldn't be wearing a padded bra. When I leave work I bet I'll have two black eyes, and not from a fist. Lol

11 degrees here right now. Letting the woodstove die down - time to dump the ash bin. Shifted the heat pump system to oil heat for a few hours............ back on wood this PM. .......... supposed to be a balmy 20 today, tonight, then colder again.

Got an oil delivery while I was out yesterday. Got home, and it was 43 degrees in the living room!!!

Went down to the basement, started bleeding the burner, and it was clear, then pink, then red. Must have been water in the truck?

The house was cold soaked, took a while to start to warm up. ...Unpleasant.

Prob stirred up crap in the tank and sucked it it, don't take much. Is there a filter on the oil line? You can get a spin on seperator filter(has drain) to install if none. I tried to turn furnace way down on delivery day because same thing has happened to me. Tried to let the water and crap settle after delivery.

Re: Where are you and whats your Temperature??

No my parents have made a little blanket cave for their preferred area to stay through out the day. Which is supposed to be the dining room, but it's everything (except bathroom and "bed" room, though they still sleep in the chairs). Anyways, they made the little cave and turned down the heat in the rest of the house. It didn't take long for trouble to arise under the kitchen sink. I had to turn up my space heater in my bedroom, as there's no heat upstairs at all due to a pipe burst 10 years ago. There's a huge hole, do the outside, under the kitchen sink. We temporally put up some insulation and plastic wrap with tape along the edges. But that was last year.

Anyways, pray for me to win the lotto so I can get my ass out of here in with my g/f and her son and our boys (dogs). :-)

Then I'll fix up the house in PA that my grand father lived in until his death in late 2008. Actually same day I bought my CTS. Anyways, my parents bought the house from the estate in mid 2009 and planed on moving down there. Well here it is 2014 and they are still here in CT. Anyways, once I fix up that house. I'll move them down there, then fix up this house in CT. Can't believe that this house is 35 years old and is in poor condition. There again, it was done by my parents.

Sorry for dumping that on ya'lls.

Haven't heard that one in quite a while but it is a classic.

I wonder if ranger uses these as well.

Never had a problem before. There's a filter at the tank outlet, and a screen at/in the pump. No separator. It was bled a couple of months ago when I ran out of oil, which happens regularly as the tank gauge hasn't read correctly in a LONG time. Never got water out of it.

I had a gas line run from the street, up the private way, and behind the house several years ago, but gas burner is ~7,000+ installed.

    .....sometime in the future.
