    Re: Uh Oh.......

We can only hope, but I seriously doubt it... I see it going the same way as Chrysler's Imperial concept, Cadillac's Sixteen concept, and even the Continental concept from '02. Gorgeous car, though. Fingers crossed.

Looks like a 300 that was pushed into a tall curb by the bus that shoved the back end up...just say'in. The "Black Beauty" riding on rubber bands. My .02Cdn.

    Re: Uh Oh.......

The body is just too high & the windows too short.

I had a 1966 Continental, same barge look. There was a reason Cadillac sold 4-6 times as many cars back then as Lincoln.

Now, I am going to catch some crap, but I am of the opinion that the only thing GM ever did right was Cadillac. I'm a ford man at heart that has always liked Cadillacs. I especially love the iconic 1964 Lincoln continental. An absolutely amazing car that was built by a man that was also known to have headed up Cadillac as well in later years. :much followed machinery:

As a matter of fact, back when america bought american, all the luxury car makers of the west competed against each other. NOT the Europeans.

    Re: Uh Oh.......

There are parts of me that feel I could purchase another Lincoln.

I would rather love to find an 80's Town Car Hearse, with the proper full length commercial chassis (none of that pitiful, tiny 219" length BS)

Now, while it isn't a Superior (Which is what civilized people drive) THAT is still an upright and proper car. I can only imagine that the owner is in fact a fine, upstanding citizen and a good person. It can only be true

That being said though, this "concept" I have been hearing about (An absurd amount of lately, considering that outside of my visits here, I do not really typically associate with, nor am I, an autmotive enthusiast) is one of the nicest-looking modern (post 1990 is modern) cars I have ever seen...until you look at it from the front, anyhow.

But at the end of the day, why ever would I purchase something that was in fact nothing more than a pale imitation of something else? My schooling has taught me that such is a textbook definition of insanity.

I have been known to enjoy Continentals...Just not modern concepts...
