Know those guys who had that car/truck/vehicle they liked and regretted selling/not restoring/neglecting it? Know how much they regretted it?

    DON'T BE THAT GUY!

    1 & 7

Having to many toys and no money means none of them get finished.

I would rather have 1 really nice toy instead of 2 or 3 half finished/unfinished crappy toys

    Re: What would CF do...?

Number 7 isn't my ultimate goal and this isn't all my money. I am not that guy. this is money I have put away for cars specifically, I have no debt and I drive an 8 year old Buick specifically so I can do anything I want instead of having a fancy new car. Someday the caddy will be restored, but to tell you the truth I am SOOOOOOOO freakin bored with it right now. I have higher aspirations for Cars than just my coupe. I get what you're all saying but I just don't think we look at the Caddy the same way. I have had it for 14 years, 14 summers of shows and cruises, it is time for some strange I believe. I kind of want to store the car for five years and see if I can get excited about it again. I have been toying with that for a couple years now.

    Re: What would CF do...?

Then the entire thread is pointless. We don't know your goals, aspirations, or priorities. We don't know the resources available (not only money). Not sure what you expect this thread to accomplish for you - but it sounds like you almost realize that you need to do whatever it is you want most - not what CF members want. If you can't figure that out... then you might need to go see a professional.

If you are that bored with the Cadillac, then dump it. Boredom will never take over with something you truly love. Yes, it's that simple. Pass it on to someone who will better appreciate it and find something you will never be bored of (if that's a Buick Roadmaster... I'm so sorry) :P

Thanks for pissing on things drew!

I wasn't asking for you to make decisions just a discussion. I said you had a valid point, doesn't mean I am going to do it, Not saying I won't either. It wasn't titled, Drew tell me what to do, we is all stoopid and you are always right. That thread is over at the ford escort forum. It was a discussion! FTR this is why you have no friends.

I think you need more than a hug. I can't help you. Maybe start a thread to discuss it!

    Re: What would CF do...?

Simmer down, boys, or CTSCHICK will break out her ruler and settle this here and now! As far as the topic of this thread goes, I get what John is saying, but I also see Drew's point. I've had Rebecca for 13 years now. I've loved her, been exasperated with her, spent more on her than any rational human being would ever consider, but I'd never think of putting her away for five years. I'd miss her too much! In fact, though I really should have kept Babe here at the house since she still needs work, I chose to keep Rebecca here and put Babe away in off-site storage because I knew I'd be depressed without her here. If you feel you need something else to distract you for a while, John, by all means, go for it! YOLO, as the kids say. But, if you think you can live without the Caddy for 5 years, it's probably time to let it go.
